RACV NoosaBin Enclosure Upgrade

A civil upgrade delivering expanded, compliant bin storage at RACV Noosa resort

Completed bin enclosure at RACV Noosa - aluminium louvre fencing and gates with tropical resort setting
Project overview

From inadequate enclosure to a purpose-built facility

RenewCORP, as O&M facilities manager for RACV Noosa, identified the need to upgrade the resort's bin enclosure to meet operational and compliance requirements. The project involved demolishing and reconstructing the enclosure with a new concrete slab, retaining wall, reinstated fencing, and a new aluminium access gate - expanding bin capacity and improving site amenity. Works were carefully staged and coordinated to avoid disruption to the operating resort.

The challenge

Staging civil works around an operating resort

Delivering construction works within a live resort environment required careful planning, clear communication with the client, and a programme structured around both concrete curing requirements and resort operations.

  • Existing bin enclosure was inadequate for the resort's operational requirements
  • Works required staging due to concrete curing constraints, extending the programme across multiple site mobilisations
  • Temporary relocation of bins during works needed to be coordinated with resort operations to avoid disruption
  • Remote Queensland location required careful logistical planning, including accommodation for the return retaining wall phase
  • Supplier lead times for the aluminium pool-style gate required a temporary access solution to maintain site security
Our approach

Staged, communicated and delivered.

Site preparation

  • Initial site mobilisation on 16 February 2026
  • Existing fencing around the bin enclosure removed
  • Bins temporarily relocated by RACV staff to allow safe access and unobstructed works
  • Preliminary preparation completed ahead of the concrete phase

Concrete works

  • Excavation and formwork completed 17 February
  • Concrete slab poured, placed and finished 18-19 February
  • 7-10 day curing period observed prior to loading and commencement of retaining wall works
  • Detailed site progress photos provided to RACV stakeholders throughout

Retaining wall

  • Second mobilisation on 2 March, with team accommodated on-site at the resort
  • Retaining wall works progressed over four days (2-6 March)
  • Works completed to programme with no reported weather or access delays

Reinstatement and access

  • Existing fencing panels and gates reinstated on completion of structural works
  • Temporary Colorbond gate (approx. 1,400 mm wide) installed to maintain security during gate lead time
  • Final aluminium pool-style gate installed week of 9-10 March, completing the scope
